Will I get into MIT or any Ivy league colleges

I live in a very small town in Tamil Nadu,India. We have very bad schools here.I went to a Tamil Nadu State Board School (cram school) till class 10 and then switched to CBSE(only 2 CBSE schools in District;CBSE has college level courses;I’m the first person to do so in my district) for class 11 and 12 hoping I could develop practical skill and knowledge. But the school did not have good facilities and teachers I was disappointed.I am also frustrated by the Indian Education System as a whole

High School Grades:
Class 9:458/500(State Board)Class 1st
Class 10:492/500 (TN State Board-98.5%)approx. 99th percentile of State
Class 11:435/500(CBSE)Class 1st
Class 12:474/500(CBSE-95%)approx.99th percentile of India
High School GPA:4.8
I was hoping 100 in math but since I left a 6 marker without even writing a question number in the math board exam I got 95 in Math,Physics and Chemistry (After moderation)

ACT/SAT/TOEFL:
I took a SAT exam last year and got 1700 (I didn’t prepare), but my English has improved significantly since then. Now,after 30 to 40 ACT practice tests later,
I’m getting 34–36 (ACT composite) in timed official practice tests
I have to take ACT exam this September.
I’ve practiced for SAT II also and aiming for 800 in Math,Physics and Chemistry this October
I am confident I’ll get 105+ in TOEFL

Extra Curriculars:
In my town there are very less oportunities and ECAs are not encouraged much.Despite the fact I have done many ECAs.

I was the youngest among the top 5 who competed in Musclemania India 2015 in the teenage division

I was a house captain in two schools (State board as well as CBSE) and helped win the championships twice

Captain of a combined soccer team of 4 schools in 2014(State Board)

I’ve won many district,inter school state,intra school track and field championships(nearly 40) in 8 events.(200m,800m,1500m,3000m running,shot put,discus throw,javelin throw,relay)

I invented an A.C. helmet and will file a patent soon.I’ve submitted it for Google Science Fair 2016

To know about the helmet here’s a link.
Wellington Daniel’s answer to Will A.C. helmet help the Indian public? (https://www.quora.com/Will-A-C-helmet-help-the-Indian-public-1/answer/Wellington-Daniel)

I set up a research paper and now I’m editing for publishing.

Recommendations:
I’ve got 2 recommendations from the principals of both the State Board and CBSE schools I’ve studied in.

Community work:
I didn’t have the opportunity to do community work or start clubs in School. But I care deeply about Education and believe that better education in India will produce better leaders and improve the economy.I think creativity, imagination and practical skills are much more essential than technical knowledge.

SOP:
I’m constantly improving my SOP.
Can I make it to the ivies?
I don’t have any counselors.Should I hire one?
My family can pay no more than $6000 per year. Will I get aid or scholarships?

I’m also tenor in the Holy Trinity Cathedral Choir.
In class 12 I got the 3rd mark in the district and in class 10,I got the 2nd mark in school

Wellington, your story is impressive in many ways & I’m sure you’ll have a good shot at Ivy admission. (I say this as an alumnus interviewer for Columbia and a teacher at Wharton.) You should apply to all of them, plus Stanford & MIT. Go Early Decision/Early Action at your favorite.

Beyond top grades and standardized test scores (which are prerequisite esp. for South Asian applicants), here’s what you should emphasize:

– The cooling helmet. Try to get this patented or at least start the process. I saw there are similar products available on Amazon etc. If the helmet is just an adaptation of prior art, it probably won’t win a patent, but you can still take it a long way (by high school standards) as an entrepreneurial project.

– Athletics. You are a prospect for soccer (football) plus track and field. Try to get recruited for either. Contact the coaches for each sport at each school the moment your apps are in, or even before. Also play up the bodybuilding. Not many bodybuilders apply to the Ivies.

You don’t need to hire an admissions counselor. You don’t need to worry about school costs as all the Ivies have good financial aid: you’ll get a full ride. Travel back home might be a challenge though.

You say the schools you’ve attended are bad, but you are completely fluent in English. Maybe they’re not as bad as you think – or you’re just brilliant. Anyway, good luck to you.

I don’t know if I agree with that. You haven’t taken the ACT/subject tests yet, those are just predicted scores. Keep in mind that it is much, much harder for international applicants to gain admission these schools. Try to apply to some safer schools as well. Good luck.

pretty hard to give chances without scores. Let’s say you get your 33+, you are now qualified. Can you transform your story into compelling subjective application materials? That is what will decide your admission.

You are a very impressive applicant! There are many wonderful schools in the USA other than Ivy League and MIT. You should look into schools such as the University of Maryland, Michigan, Penn State and Arizona State. There are many more. You will get into one of them. Best of luck to you. Love thy Safety School.

About the cooling helmet:There are many helmet in the market with the name cooling helmet, but none of them can bring the temperature of the helmet below ambient. They just have intelligent air circulating system. There are some helmets that have been invented but each one of them has its own disadvantage.

I’ll be competing in 2 or so bodybuilding competitions this year(Not many natural competitions in India).
I’m also planning on becoming a certified personal trainer and maybe even work in a gym for some time.

About my English:
My city used to have the best teachers in the state once upon a time.But now,due to the IT craze,not many smart people become teachers.Teachers are dumber than most students.It’s like middle school teachers teaching college level courses.Not every teacher speaks English,but some do;
From a very young age I watch English TV channels that air in India like the Discovery channel,National Geography,Star world (Which airs TV shows like The Big Bang theory) and Star movies(Hollywood movies) and Youtube channels(Ellen show,Tonight show Jay Leno).
Most of my learning is on the internet through free online lectures (including Walter Lewin).
My English is better than many students in my city…

ACT math, science and SAT subject subject tests are a piece of cake for every above average Indian students. Our high school courses are like APs.The previous sat I got 800 in math.Only the English required practice and it’s done

Your profile seems pretty good though a few touch ups would go a long way.
First i would suggest you improve your social service .preferably something engineering related .Your SAT scores are key espescially for aa college like MIT if they are low you can forget your entry so focus on those and do not in anywaylet them be less then 2300

What could espescially differentiate your profile is the story you tell and each college would require a different approach for which i think the best approach would be to talk to current students of the college .They i think would guide you best and would provide you most accurate information.
1 consultant that i found espescially helpful in this regard was A friend abroad an online consultancy which connects you with students in prestigious colleges in the US for minimum cost.I would suggest you give them a try as they charge a minimal cost

All the Best!!

“if they are low you can forget your entry”
Um, I’m pretty sure this is completely wrong.
