Will I get into TCNJ?

I’m a New Jersey community college student. My major is engineering science. I’m in the honors program. My GPA is a 3.6, I’m hoping to get it up to a 3.7 before I graduate in the fall 2018. I’m in Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. My extra-curriculars include volunteering at an animal shelter, being a member of the Student Chapter of the American Society of Highway Engineers and the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers, and math tutoring. I’ve been an electrical engineering intern / CAD designer for over a year now, and I will have a recommendation letter from a principal of the company or the head of the electrical department. I’ll also have a letter from the chair of the engineering department at my community college.

I plan on applying to the Engineering Science: Policy and Society or the Mechanical Engineering program.

I should also add, I’m a white female.

Thank you in advance!! :slight_smile:

Engineering is tough, but I’d be surprised if you weren’t accepted.

What math and science courses have you taken?

University Physics I & II, chem I & II, Calc 1-3, dif. Equations, statics, etc. i’ll have an associates degree in engineering science.

@futureengineer24

I would also recommend an application to Rowan University. The engineering programs there are well ranked.

Are you applying to transfer for spring 2019? Best of luck!

You seem very well prepared!

Also applying to Rowan!! Tcnj is a shorter commute for me and I love how small it is. Thank you!!
