I applied to MIT, Boston University, WPI, Purdue University, UC Berkeley, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC San Diego. But I don't think I can get into these colleges because my SAT score is 1300 total. I didn't retake the SAT. And I got 630 on SAT Math Level 2. I had 4.0 GPA's in freshmen and sophomore years in high school. But in junior year, I failed 3 AP classes and I recently got 2 D's in english and history classes for my first semester of senior year. I want to major in electrical engineering at college. If I can't get accepted to these schools, can anyone please suggest me some other colleges that are good for electrical engineering majors? By the way, I don't have any extracurricular activities until I was a senior. I joined a book club in school. That's all. For my backup plan, I applied to one community college, which is Pasadena City College. Because my computer science teacher recommended me this school, he told me that it's good for electrical engineering. But can I learn lots of electrical engineering courses at community colleges? And I'm from South Korea, currently undocumented. But applied for deferred action last year.

Seniors grades don’t matter for the admissions but all schools will ask for a transcript at the end of the year if you are accepted so that could possibly change your admission status. No EC’s hurts you as much as your GPA & test scores. Also, for the UC System, the # of rigorous courses is important but they want you to pass them…

If your personal statements, volunteering, ed programs and additional comments (which you probably should have done) are effective, then it MIGHT add some merit to your app. Good luck!

I dont really thing you have a good shot at the majority of those schools. Your GPA is hurting and your SAT is pretty below average.
