I use this account that tells the percent chances of getting into a school and it told me I have an 84% chance of getting in with a 2.5 gpa and a 1120 SAT score, my grades this year for the semester are all A’s and B’s but I’m not sure how they would see that if my traanscripts were sent in before the semester was here, who thinks I can get in? Be honest, I can take it.
I think you have an ok chance of getting in since Ucf isn’t the most competitive out there. They accept 50% of applicants so if you have AP classes or honors classes it can sort of compensate for a low gpa be sat score
I took honors classes my freshman and sophomore year history and english, but i didnt get the best grades then, do you think my SAT score may be enough to pull me through?
@jxroxj The answer I have for you is maybe. I saw on the UCF Acceptance Thread that people got deferred with stats similar to yours. Try to raise your GPA and retake SAT if possible.
@jxroxj Hello, I am currently an undergraduate student at UCF and have a fairly good amount of knowledge on how the acceptances at UCF work. To start off, UCF has a 49% acceptance rate coming to a close second to UF who has a 48% acceptance rate. When I applied to UCF I had a 3.8 GPA and decent testing scores (not the average but a little under). However, I was originally deferred and later accepted for Summer B and was placed in a program called “Pegasus Access Program”. This program allows students who are on the lower end of being accepted be slightly more successful and are required to attend seminars and mandatory meetings. In contrast to what @Cookielover7 mentioned, UCF has gotten VERY selective within Florida in the past few years seeing that it’s just as competitive as UF. I recommend that if you could bring your GPA up to about a 3.5 and bring your testing scores to 1250 on the new SAT or a 29 on ACT you have a MUCH better chance at getting accepted.
Kid, let me tell you. UCF really does stand for opportunity. I’m not a bad student, but have had problems in my life that ended up affecting my grades in H.S. I was dual enrollment (bummed). Didn’t get my A.A, left with a 2.8 GPA and an F on my final report card (for H.S). But you know what? UCF gave me a chance. And I’m really thankful to them for that. Sure, I didn’t get accepted for the fall like I wanted to. But I still got in and for the summer helped me steadily bring my GPA back up. Believe in yourself and anything can happen. U Can Fly…
what did you write for your essay?? i had a rough highschool years with family problems, but don’t want to seem like im trying to play the pity. i have a low gpa of 2.6
Im really stressing out because I also haven’t heard back! I applied early December
