You should get in with no issues assuming you have EC’s, a good essay, etc.

Your writing SAT score is passable, but your CR is really on the edge, meaning it will be frowned upon by admission officers.

Essentially, If you improve your CR score, and make sure your essay is top-notch material, your chances of getting accepted would be exponentially better.

Good luck.

hey what do uf admission officers look at while considering ur application…what is a good sat score range?

short answer: no
long answer: yes

How can there be a difference between a short and long answers? Haha

possibly, but even with low scores you can still get in. I’ve known people that got 2200’s on the SAT and did not get in. It helps that you have legacy though. As long as your a well-rounded person you have a good chance, but you’ll never know with UF.

I just applied for the Fall 2012 term and I’m nervous I won’t get in.

My GPA is a 4.4, but will be going up this year.
I’ve taken all AP, Dual Enrollment, and Honors classes all through high school.

I’m in 3 clubs and volunteer with my church.

I have decent SAT scores: 1650 right now and waiting for my newest scores to come out.

I also wrote a very strong essay, and have worked all through high school, and I want to major in Political Science.

Do you think I’ll get in? I’ve wanted to be a Gator forever, it really means a lot to me.

Legacy doesn’t mean as much as it used to.

Write a great essay and pack your bags. As long as that gpa is UF rated.

Given your high sat math score, I think you will get in.

Yes, they have holistic admissions, but I don’t think they can disregard a score like that.

Hate to break it to you but a 1650 SAT is an automatic rejection pretty much with your other things equal. Your new scores I assume won’t be a significant change, and average SAT at UF is 1950-1970 I believe. You still have a chance because everything else seems decent, but your GPA will be recalculated by UF, a B in an AP is 4, a B in an honors is 3.5, add 0.5 for honors and 1.0 for AP/DE to the unweighted scales grade.
