i am going to be a senior this year. UNC has been my dream to go to. i fell in love with this school since freshmen year. i have a 1730 in my SAT's 630-math,560-reading,530-writing.i have about an 87avg in school for all three years. im not sure what that is in 0.00-4.00 so if someone can tell me that would be great. i am on a rowing team. ive done soccer and lacrosse in high school. i am involve in countless volunteer services. i have over 200 hours or community service. i am hispanic. i would like to know what my chances are to get into UNC- chapel hill. Thank you so much(:

If you’re in state, you’ll probably have a good chance. If you’re out of state, it might be a reach for you unless you can pull your SATs up to 600+ for all 3 subjects.

You certainly won’t get in if you live outside of NC, and you still probably won’t get in if you live instate.

yeah id say a 2% chance unless youre a URM

You need to raise your SAT and GPA quite a bit to be a strong candidate. Most of the people that get in have a 3.75+ GPA while yours is the equivalent of about a 2.7.

Also, according to the College Board’s website, the median SAT scores for UNC are: Math 620-710, CR 590-700, Writing 580-680.

Try retaking the SAT, but you don’t really have any time to improve your GPA that much.

Best of luck to you.
