Hey. I was wondering what it takes to get into Wharton Undergrad school? not like it will be the end of the world if i don't get in, but if i do, i will be happier than anyone in the world. So i was wondering if you could maybe give me a few pointers because i am talented and smart (not arrogantly), and want to compare my accomplishments to those of who understand this subject. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! and i am a sophomore in high school.

I have a 4.44 weighted GPA. 4.00 unweighted. This goes by a 10 point scale. I got accepted into my schools IB program, and if i get all A's (which i usually do except one B 89 in Algebra 2 freshman year), i will have a 4.86 weighted GPA. I get all A's but mostly low A's (90-94). One of the classes i will take in the IB program is IB Economics HL which is a rigorous 2 year course. I am a National Honors Society Member. I am a Xaverian Leader (Catholic School), an elected Retreat Leader, a St. Mary's Scholar, a peer counselor, and a Peace and Justice Leader. Also i am in my student counsel as a Class Representative as a Junior and hopefully Senior. I took my PSATs as a sophomore and got a 1900 which was a 93% compared to national Juniors. My SAT scoring range was therefore by next year a 2120-2280. I play varsity football (Our team was ranked 13 in the nation at one point this season but i dont start et) and varsity tennis and will probably be tennis captain next year. Also very importantly i just started a business club which got accepted will be induced to the FBLA soon, because our school doesnt have a business club. I will be president of this. Hopefully through this i will make a microfinance project and donate funds and books to kids in Africa (i have a world banker Aunt there who accepted my plan and the principal did too). Also i help Special Olympics, and have attended a bunch of local leadership seminars/conferences and a camp at BRown.. Thanks. and give me any feedback, even if it is negative or possitive, i dont mind. I just want to know where i am at and what my chances are and what i should improve on. THANK YOU FOR POSTS!

you have good leadership. just as advice... take math level 2 subject test and get a 750+. You also have to take calc in high school. if you keep up the good work, you have good chances.

o ok nice. ya i probably will end up taking that next year. So im guessing u went/go to Wharton, considering the location on your profile.

2013 is my graduating class year so I am a HS senior now but was accepted to Wharton ED.

I see. Ya well thats what im most likely gonna apply for. How did you get it, like what did you do to stand out in high school cuz i know thats important??????

This way, you can look at all of the CC ED decisions (yes, few are for Wharton but the school should be specified at the top of each post). In case you were wondering, I'm on the second page.

Nice. HAHA you were ranked 1 in your class. Im top 10 but i dont know about 1. But ya thanks youve helped me alot. Hopefully ill get in though.

gl and really top 10% is all that you need. i think its something like 98% of the class is from the top 10% so unless you have some insane hooks, then you won't get in if you're lower.

Anymore advice???????
Anyone else??????????

Damn, that's crazy. Sick stats, I'd say low match. Good luck.

Ha ha thnks. ya but i dont want to spend my high school career just thinking about getting into Wharton.....like some people on this site....... but whats a low match mean??????

decent shot, but i think this came too late ;)
