Will I get into UT Austin as a transfer? Honest Opinions

Hello, I am applying to transfer to UT Austin. I currently go to a nationally ranked college in Massachusetts but would be going back to Texas for in state tuition.

I have 29 credits at Umass-Lowell with a 3.93
18 ACC dual credit courses taken in High School with a 3.7 GPA there
1310 SAT, top 10% in my class in high school. High School GPA 4.0

First Choice was Mccombs but I do not have 1 of the prerequisites (Calc 2)
Second Choice was Advertising in Communications School.

I am curious to see if anyone has any knowledge if I will get into UT? I am pretty sure I will not get into Mccombs because I do not have one of the prerequisites but I am hopeful that I will get into Adversiting.

Does anyone have any insight on this? It would be a huge help

I’m assuming you’re in-state. You will definitely need all the prerequisites in order for McCombs to even look at your records. The advertising school, I’m not sure about. Also, try Texas A&M. They’re business school is virtually identical and it’s just as highly ranked.

@coolguy40 thanks for the info. I would but I am passed the deadline. Hoping my high GPA while balancing athletics (NCAA D1) will help me get into my second choice.

You should note that UT combines your ACC dual credit with your Umass-Lowell college gpa.

They also don’t consider test scores for transfer admissions.
