-in state
-go to a very competitive high school and am top 23% (worried about this part)
-SAT score: 1520 (770 math, 750 reading)
- have passed the following AP exams as of end of junior year: US History, Physics, Environmental Science, Biology, English III, Psychology
- taking these AP courses senior year: Calc AB, Statistics, Chemistry, Economics
- got a 99 in UT OnRamps course at my high school (pre calculus) - don't know if this matters
- decent extracurriculars
forgot to mention: GPA is 5.0071 on a weighted scale and 3.67 on an unweighted scale.
You have everything except the rank. You will be competing for only about 15% of the slots and because of that, you need to consider UT a reach. I do believe you would definitely be accepted to all other state engineering programs, so make sure you apply to some safeties. For UT, make sure your essays are good and try to stand out with them.
Hi - just an update. I got into UT engineering today (very unexpectedly) and am super excited!
I also got into A&M and Texas Tech (w/ 4k per year scholarship) - wanted to update info.
