Will I get into Virginia Tech Early decision for Engineering?

<p>I applied early decision yesterday and I am nervous about being accepted at all, I know I will most likely be Differed to Reg Decision. But will I get into the engineering program. Be completely honest.</p>

<p>I am a senior at FCHS, SW Virginia. 6-point grading scale.
4.09 GPA. (non weighted)<br>
-Strong letter of recommendation
- Top 25% out of 2100 students
-FBLA, NHS 92 years), YOVASO, Senior class cabinet.
1140 SAT (math+reading)
610 Math,
530 reading,

<p>First of all, realize that anyone (including college admissions offices) can see this. With that being said:</p>

<ul>
<li><p>Double-check your spelling & grammar. It’s “deferred” not “differed,” as well as “honors” and “psychology.” Don’t hurt your chances of getting accepted somewhere simply because you’re posting on forums using poor English.</p></li>
<li><p>Don’t be “that kid.” Current college students peruse these websites to get a feel for the incoming class… and every year, there are “those kids” who post all of their achievements, hoping someone will boost their ego, telling them that they are undoubtedly guaranteed a spot at the university. In reality, campus newspapers just dedicate an entire article to making fun of them. You don’t want that.</p></li>
</ul>

<p>So relax! Everyone else is currently in the same boat as you. You’ve clearly worked HARD, so simply wait and let the admissions office do their job. They’re the ones who ultimately make the decision – so it really doesn’t matter if somebody posts on here & tells you that you have a good chance of getting accepted.</p>
