Will I get my acceptances rescinded?

The two colleges I am worried about are UT Austin and SMU (w/ 30,000 scholarship), primarily SMU, however.

I got into both with 3.09/4.0 GPA unweighted, and 4.78/6.0 weighted, 35/36 ACT, and decent ECs.
I had plenty of Cs, plenty of Bs, and perhaps 1-2 Ds when applying.

However, this semester, it looks like I will be failing one class, and there are almost no grades left. It's Biology II AP, which is not a required course for graduation, but nevertheless a course among the 4 core subjects.

Many of my other classes aren't looking too good, and carry about the same pattern.
I have never failed a course before, so this will be the first and only, which is of second semester senior year.

Do you think I'll get my acceptances rescinded?

I’m sorry to say but I think there is a pretty high chance of this occurring. Is there any time for you to bring your grade up or perhaps beg the teacher for some extra credit?

You might also want to call both schools and explain what happened (come up with a REALLY good excuse.) I’m not to sure what it’ll do but based on what I’ve experienced seeing my peers, there is a large possibility of you getting your acceptances rescinded.

How about you tell the truth and say you slacked off. With a 35 ACT there is no excuse for grades like that. You need to contact the colleges and see if they will allow you to enter on academic probation.

Contact the schools. You may be allowed to start on academic suspension. It is very likely however that you will loose any scholarship monies.

In any case, double depositing (per your thread below) at SMU will most likely result in you being rescinded, and probably at UT.
