<p>Wrote essay about how I became depressed during my junior year, yet recovered and grew as a person. Have been told I have very good teacher recommendations.</p>

<p>Honestly I think it would be a reach for you. You could have taken more APs to increase the rigor of your schedule which would look more impressive. Also, you could have raised your SAT scores a bit because although you don’t have to submit them a great score can probably help the application. Despite all this I think if you write a stand out essay you can have a chance. Schools are getting increasingly competitive and tougher to get into. <p>Its definitely gonna be a reach for you. You SAT and GPA are average and you haven’t taken a noticeable rigorous course load. But you have a good EC record and if your Essays are really great you stand a decent chance.</p>
<p>I think that if your essay was very good, you have a chance. I do not know much about Holy Cross, but your grades and class rank as well as EC’s look pretty good.</p>
<p>Thanks, I knew this school was going to be a reach going into it. It is my number 1 choice, but, if you were wondering, I already got into U Maine Farmington and University of Southern Maine–so I’m going somewhere!</p>
<p>Yeah, that’s definitely going to be a reach. Sorry, man. Try for a fantastic first semester (or is it done?) and that could help a bit.</p>
<p>Well, it is my only “reach school.” I’ve received all A’s this quarter so far…hopefully they will notice that when I send the mid-year transcript.</p>
<p>I really don’t know a whole lot about Holy Cross, but from the sounds of it, this is a reach for you. Your GPA and course load is somewhat weak and your SAT is pretty average. Focus on those essays and you might have a chance though! Thanks for chancing me and good luck!</p>
