Will I get Rescinded by UC's? Specifically Davis?

Hello all,

I have recently been admitted to UC Davis and others but have below par senior year grades. There aren't any D or F grades but my grades have dropped significantly compared to previous years.

My UW GPA for Freshman to Junior year was around 3.75. This year I received a 3.4 GPA my first semester, that's 3 B's and 2 A's. For my second semester I am very likely to receive 3 C's, a B , and an A. I am taking AP Physics B by the way, which takes up 2 periods and 2 grades so that accounts for 2 of the C's I may be receiving. If you add the two semesters up, I would have exactly a 3.0 UW GPA with no D or F grades. That would mean I have reached the bare minimum requirement of all the UC's for senior year grades.

I am worried, however, that since this can be considered valid proof of a decline in academic effort, I may still be rescinded. So I was wondering if I really am in trouble and if anyone knew of a student who was in the same position (reached bare minimum or near it and was rescinded).

P.S. Does anyone know if the 3.0 GPA requirement meant both semesters combined grades or each semester?

Thanks !

bump… still curious

As long as you maintain a 3.0 GPA you will not be rescinded, as long as we’re only talking about grades. And you cannot get anything below a C.
