I’ve struggled a lot with Calculus. I received a C in AB and might get a D in BC. I’m about to start working with a tutor to get my grade up but if I’m not able to get it up, what are the chances UNC will rescind my acceptance? Other than Calculus I have two A’s and three B’s
No you won’t. There are so many threads about people freaking out about this when it like NEVER happens. A good school, I forget which one I will go look it up, said that in the history of the school they have only done it 5 times. Your good just try and get the D up to a C if you can!
Oh and if they do anything they usually will send you a letter asking for an explanation first, so it’s not like they just take it away!
Not very high; admission is really only usually rescinded if you flunk/fail a class (and even then, it doesn’t always happen). A low grade in Calculus would more than likely slide as opposed to a low grade in Pottery or Culinary Arts. For reference, a first year student who I went out with last year is currently attending UNC and received a C and D in AP Biology and AP Calc. AB (respectively) and had no problems.
With that being said, you should do everything in your power to get those grades up. I can’t entirely speak for UNC’s admissions office, so you should definitely try to finish those classes with at least a C to be on the safe side.
