I’m currently a community college student who got accepted into UCLA for this fall. I have a 3.23, but what are my chances of being rescinded if I get two C in two 5-unit classes during my last semester? I calculated the resulting GPA, which would give me a 3.19. The classes would be Calculus II (I got a C in Calculus I so it’s obviously not my strong suit) and the second clas is part of Biology sequence (Bio 4B. I got a C in Bio 4A). I have all As aside from these two courses this semester.
I’m not sure, but on your accepted page, on the left, it has a report changes option, in it it says to report changes under a few circumstances. One of them being if you get two or more Cs, also check your admission contract, mine states that i have to maintain my gpa, but it doesnt really say what that means. If you need the classes them just do your best and let the chips fall where they may
I’ve been asking the same question. I’m getting one C in my last semester so I’ve been worried too. I’ve seen a few people saying that as long as you maintain a 3.0 GPA unweighted then they won’t rescind, but I’m not sure if there are any sources for that.
@kristinasb I heard the same thing. The classes I might get Cs in aren’t major prep classes for my major either, and I’l still have a 3.0+ GPA with this worst case scenario. Let’s hope UCLA isn’t too strict.
