I am going to UC Irvine. I might get a 30 weighted, or I might get 2.9 weighted. If I get 2.9 weighted, which is unfortunately more likely at this point, with no Ds, no Fs,d no changed classes, and some special circumstances, will i be rescinded?

Only way to know is to call Admissions. No one here can tell you yes or no.

I called admissions. They said, in a nutshell, “maybe, maybe not”

Good luck. Only they can know, but some factors to consider are 1. that you recieved no Ds or Fs 2. how rigorous your course load is 3. what your GPA was when accepted. These can all affect the college’s decision. Hopefully you will have a clear answer soon, but most colleges will allow for some explanation of the grades if they plan to rescind.

Certainly nobody on this board can give you a better answer than the admissions department at your college. At this point all you can do is work very hard to try to get your weighted GPA to a 3.0

i ended up with 2.9 GPA and the admissions office could not help me know my chances of being rescinded.

I guess all you can do is wait.

^ I guess… when does UC Irvine rescind you? I heard mid-August but I’m not sure.

In my opinion, maybe, maybe not.

I ended up with a 2.91 and my admission was withdrawn about three weeks ago. The 3.0 requirement in the provisional admission contract is your SENIOR GPA, meaning the average of your first and second semesters. Was your first semester GPA high enough to bring the average up? Or was 2.9 your senior GPA? If at this point they haven’t contacted you about it, you should be fine (I think). They’ve had enough time to go through all the freshman information and even appeals (I appealed successfully and was notified last week.).

thank you. I have 2.9 both semesters of senior year but do not have any sign that I will be rescinded.
