I had a 3.96 GPA, and I'm going to Middlebury in the fall.

First semester, I had the following grades, which were included in my Mid-year report:
Chemistry AP - 85
Physics C AP - 94
Stats AP - 95
Govt. AP - 97
English 4 AP - 93
Calculus BC AP - 97

Second semester, I had the following grades....
THESE are what I'm worried about

Chemistry AP (I took Pass/Fail this semester) - Pass
Physics C AP - 77
Stats AP - 90
Economics AP - 93
English 4 AP - 75
Calculus BC AP - 78

So I guess my final year grades are something like..
Chemistry AP - 83
Physics C AP - 86
Stats AP - 93
Govt. AP - 97
Econ AP - 93
English 4 AP - 84
Calculus BC AP - 88

AM I IN DANGER OF BEING RESCINDED???????????

You’ve probably contracted senioritis, as your AP Physics C, English 4, and Calculus BC grades went from 94–>77, 93–>75, and 97–>78.

Especially for the most selective colleges, you may be rescinded if they see that you got three C’s senior year. However I don’t know for sure (depends on the college and their admissions policies), so keep your hopes up.

If when you applied they only cared about final grades then that’s what they’ll care about now, so go with whatever you put on your app, final year or quarter grades. That’s what will matter

It is apparent that you “took your foot off the gas,” and most schools don’t like that. Raising the grades-in-question a few points might help but if I were you I’d start polishing up a good excuse and an apology. You’ll probably be fine but selective LACs want to see steady senior grades and since yours took a 3 class nose-dive they’ll want an explaination.

You’ve posted 3 grade updates in the past two days. The lowest grade has been 77, which I assume is a high C.

If you really believe that the minutia of your life is so important and that you might be rescinded, please call the school and find out their policy rather than asking anonymous strangers who cannot give you a definitive answer for their opinions.

The original poster has not been here for 2 years, so you are unlikely to get an answer. If you are so inclined, you can search his/her post history to learn the answer. In the meantime, I am closing this thread.
