hi, i was on a plan to self study AP stats and Cs for the ap exams in may. However, due to the recent death of a close family member, I was thrown off that schedule and now I’m in no way prepared to take either exam in 2 weeks. On my common app, i listed that I would be taking these 2 exams. Will I be rescinded because I didn’t take it? I was accepted to Dartmouth, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, UC Berkeley among other excellent choices.
I highly doubt it. I would email the schools and let them know. I believe it is a courtesy to update any changes or differences in your applications. Some may say it is not that serious of a change, but at least you can be honest and they won’t be “surprised” when your scores do not arrive at their office. It definitely is not the same as dropping a class or failing.
