Will I have a problem getting in?

I just got my ACT scores back, a little upset with the results but I'm still hoping there's some chance I'd be accepted into U of C.

English 27
Math 24
Reading 26
Science 24
Writing 11

Composite 25

My GPA is a weighted 3.2, I was in all honors freshman and sophomore year, though this year I have been taking it kind of easy. Next year I'll be taking one or two AP/H classes, so I'm hoping the general rigor of my high school career may help.

I'm in no extracurriculars but I have a job and have volunteered places. I also am extremely confident in my ability to write an awesome college essay.

What do you think my chances are of getting accepted? Any help is appreciated :)

Depends on your major, except for engineering, those scores should get you in.

Business or engineering probably not… but anything else probably OK. Weighted 3.2 I am assuming unweighted under 3.0. This may affect you being accpted

Hmmm . . . if you’re from out of state, you may have a better shot than someone in state with those numbers. Your gpa really hurts you, and if you could retake the ACT or get good scores on the SAT, it would boost your chances by quite a bit. Talking to an admissions counselor at CU may help you get a better idea of where you stand. Good luck with the admissions process.

I agree with luvs2ski. Depends on what college you applied to. The GPA and no EC’s hurts you though.
