I'm pretty sure I'm going to NU starting next year and I have a lot of questions about it. From some of the posts I've been reading I'm getting the feeling that althought students participate in clubs and study hard, hey don't really party... Do the majority of kids go to parties on friday and saturday nights .. or at least like 40%??? Also, if most kids don't party, what are some of the other popular things to do for a good time?

Anybody with information please post. Thanks.

Students do party here...some too hard. You'll find plenty who do and plenty who don't. There's places for everyone. A majority of kids do go out Friday and Saturday nights (who wants to study???!!!).

Other popular things: everything revolves around chilling with your friends whether it revolves around watching a movie, getting involved with your friends, going out to downtown chicago, going to a club, eating at a restaurant, attending a res college trip, etc. People just find things that suit them. You'll end up finding a good time somewhere.

that's good to hear thanks for the info. I was a little disappointed when I read in a few places that the students didnt really party and were a bit serious but it seems liek theres a lot of great things to do =)

There are so many things to do in Evanston and Chicago. Even Northwestern itself offers a ton of things to do. I'm going there next year, but I live right near Northwestern so I have somewhat of a feel for the campus. Last Monday, for example, I went to see Dane Cook and a few other comedians perform at Welsh-Ryan arena. Amazing. You won't be bored.
