I'm currently taking Calculus at a CC. Calculus is not my strong subject (anyone else here feel me?). I'm basically BS-ing my way through it, but I do have an A+ in the class. I study and try hard in all my other classes and have a 4.0 GPA. Would it be helpful for me to really try hard to understand the material in Calculus? I want to major in Accounting at either USC or SCU. How much Calculus will I be using later on? Thanks in advance.

For accounting, I wouldnt think too much. Your never going to need Calculus in accounting so I dont see why you would be required to take anything past Calc 2.

Great, thanks. I hate Calculus.

i know this is old, but i feel you on the calc. I've got a bunch of W's because of it. I'm afraid of getting accepted to a UC and then having to drop 3b this semester with a W again. I'd rather just get into a college and get an average pass grade there.

I love calculus :)

I hate all forms of linear algebra

Calculus is VERY essential to business

^^yea maybe a handful of formulas. Not about to e-fight with you over it though. I don't know too many multi millionaires who remember calculus from college.

I agree. I do some accounting at work, and I've come across Calculus a couple times when using formulas in Excel. But they've never given me any problems.

there are FEW jobs that require you to actually DO the math- usually you just have to know what is going on but excel or another program can do most of the math for you
