Will I look like a scared applicant?

I’m terrified, downright terrified of the write page 217 of your autobiography essay. Will I look like I’m not up to the challenge if I choose one of the others

If you look at the choices..

6a. You have just completed your 300-page autobiography. Please submit page 217.

6b. First experiences can be defining. Cite a first experience that you have had and explain its impact on you.

6c. Recall an occasion when you took a risk that you now know was the right thing to do.

They are basically the same thing (it depends if you feel that your autobiography page will be written about something in the past or future). If you really feel that you need to write the pg. 217 essay, then you can just write one of the other ones and alter it slightly to fit the topic completely. Otherwise, I have found that they can easily all be the same essay, ya know?

agreed....

Regardless that any essay may fit any topic, choose one of the others if you don't like the autobiography one, it will certainly not make you look like a scared applicant. They give 3 essay options so you can pick the one you like best.

I hate 217. I chose 6b - I think that gives you a better opportunity to link a specific experience with what you want to do (career wise and academically). It's more about who you are NOW than who you think you will be (I feel like most people write about themselves in the future for 217). It's more of an essay than a story so there's less pressure to be a literary genius.
