Its been tough for me lately but I came through most of my obstacles to achieve a better goal. During my frosh/soph years, I really messed up in school. I had almost 9 classes to make up. I had 4 F's and 5 D's. Junior year started to get better when I ended my first semester with a GPA of 3.1. On second semester, I had a 3.5. It was also critical that I made up 3 classes during the summer. I have not taken the SAT yet but preparing for it. Messing up in high school made a huge impact in me. But I can tell others that I changed. I am going into my senior year and will work to get all A's and maybe one or two B's. Taking the SAT will also be important. My main question is do I have a chance? I also played 4 years of football and have almost 400 hours of community service. I do believe that community colleges are also part of my options but I rather get into a four year. Please help me with suggestions because I will not stop trying.

Yes, you will! Colleges love to see when students improve and take the time to change what they’re doing wrong. Everyone makes mistakes and it seems like you’ve definitely improved. I think you have a shot at four year universities. You play football, do community service, and you’re doing pretty well in school now. I think you will make it. Just keep that upward trend!

Get a baller SAT score and do your best to get good grades senior year. Were your previous courses regular classes? Just keep in mind that most people who go to decent colleges generally take honors and AP courses. By the way, its not the end of the world even if you don’t. You can always go to a community college for 2 years and transfer. After all, Obama transferred to Columbia after 2 years at Occidental.

Thanks a bunch! I will keep working hard until the very end! I have not taken any AP courses but in my senior year, I am planning to take AP bio and english. Please help me with suggestions!
