Do you think I even have a chance at NYU?!?

GPA: ~ 90
ACTs: 33 (power composite score = 34) [they said they use the composite so i sent three tests of 31,32,33 which averages to 34]
All honors classes, and APs all four years... elite, prestigious high school highest ranked in my state, not even on us news report best schools list -- on the "elite" list!
suppposedly adcoms know this (?) and keep it in mind when reviewing
[[---ex: when columbia rep. was at my school, she said av.gpa for accepted students from my high school was B+/A-..... surprised me, but i guess it is still better to be in my h.s. with mediocre grades than regular one with 100 / 4.0 (which there are many students out there with...)]]
-school does not have a class rank - too competitve

PLEASEEEEE give some feedback on what you think, also, i would like some ED students to say if they had similar stats and were admitted/rejected/waitlist/etc..

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! =] && GOOD LUCK TO ALL OTHER PROSPECTIVE NYU 2014ers!!:)
and i have tried on chance threads, i just want to gear this towards NYU specificially!! :]

thanks! and International relations and I’m going to switch in my 3rd of 4th year, pretty undecided. And don’t feel too worried about it, your stats are very solid and you should get in

AHHH sorry!!
my highest were 36 E, 34 R, 34 M, 31 S
which together averages to a 34.
on my other scores i sent, the COMPOSITES were 31,32,33
(taking the highest from all three, you get a 34)!
hope that makes more sense haha

I think you are definitely in. I got accepted ED to CAS with 2010 SAT, 29 ACT, a little higher GPA, (but then again my school isn’t too prestigious lol), and extra-curriculars like you. I’m actually positive you’ll get in. Don’t worry. Is NYU definitely where you want to go?

2ndsemsenior2010 congrats!
i don’t know, i really really like the school, but i’m trying to keep my options open and keep an open mind right now!! :)

i know you’re all probably sick of “chance” threads (me too!!)
but it’s down to the wire here and i’m checking my mailbox each day for news!!!
will the letter come in the mail or e-mail!?
also, do i have even the slighest chance for a scholarship such as DEANs or presidential?
i don’t think so personally, but i’ve heard from people that i do… so i’m slightly confused now ha
at this rate, i don’t even care, i just want to get in period!! :)

The letter will come in the mail. According to the email the school just sent out to all applicants, anticipate it being your mailbox April 1st or 2nd.
