Hello CC,

I was accepted back in November to CSoM and I haven't received any word from U of Mn about scholarships. I know that their website says most scholarships are delivered in March, but it still concerns me that other people have received scholarships already. Can anyone tell if they think I will receive any money from the U?

Stats:

Out of State
3.85 GPA
132/710 class rank (top 18%)
Highly ranked/Highly competitive high school
SAT: 700 M 650 CR 650 W

ECs: Latin Club, HOSA club, Relay for Life team member/captain, Relay for Life Committee, work 8 hours a week with children at Kumon learning center.

Thank you!

I’m on the same boat as you!
I was accepted into CSOM in January but never got any scholarship.

My stats are similar to yours.
My GPA was 3.87 Rank and ranked 63rd out of 541 so it’s about top 11 percent.
and I sent two SAT scores of 2120 and 2080.
I also did PSEO at the U for two years.

I’m not eligible for FAFSA so I really need the scholarship and I’m really worried! :(

It’s really worrying isn’t it?? I need a certain amount of money to be able to attend because I too don’t qualify for FAFSA

Any amount helps though right? Haha

I just really want to go to U of Mn because the opportunities there are much greater compared to my home state. It’ll be very upsetting if I won’t be able to attend.

Good to hear that others are waiting it out as well. Good luck to you!

My DS was accepted in December. 34 ACT SAT M:800 R:720 W:630 8 AP’s 3.895 UW gpa. NO scholarships from MN so far. We gave up on MN he has decided to go Georgia Tech. Good luck I hope you get something!

Thanks for the support haha I think I’m gonna wait until the end of March to make a decision.

Congratulations to your son! Georgia Tech is a really good school.
