I just recently(this week) got accepted to USC engineering. My EFC is 0 and my dumbass didnt send in anything but the FAFSA(3/3/2009) for financial aid at USC. I sent the rest of the required documents on June 2nd, 2009, because i didnt think I was going to get accepted anyway, and am now worried that I will not get the financial aid that I need with an EFC of 0. Basically my question is, does anyone think that I will get a complete package, with loans of course in order to attend USC? THis is because i got so excited when i got accepted and withdrew from my other transfer schools like NCSU and UNCC and then was like, what if I dont get enough aid, community college? haha

bump bump bump

when i talked ot htem, they said that you have to have the FAFSA and PROFILE in. other documents that back up these two just delay your award but not lower it.

u should call and ask

Thank you and I am trying to call them as im typing!

alright so now im freaking out! I talked to a financial aid advisor today and she seemed like i was burdening her for calling. No body has really given me any advice to calm me down, does anybody think that with an EFC of 0, cause my mom(divorced) only makes 20,000 a year and i handed in all the financial aid requirments late by like 3 months, if I will get a package that fulfills all he money I need to attend, including loans and grants? ANYBODY! haha

o and the lady in the financial dept. didnt answer my question either, she just said IDK maybe >:(

u’'ll be fine! trust me.

goodness. with an EFC of 0 or something low, its only logical that they will give you more than other people who can afford it. relax.

ddang man i am in the same boat as you!!! my EFC is 400 and my parents are divorced (my mom made 12k… lol?) and i didnt apply for PROFILE until 6/2… lol i thought i wasnt gonna get in… i didnt send in any documents either… erg maybe i should do that ASAP…

the only way im paying for USC is by this army program for early commissioned lieutenants… 1 year addition of active duty service for 1 year full tuition… i can use that for 2 years luckily… yeahh lolz i just want enough to pay for room and board… or im commuting from la crescenta i guess lolz
