Hello everyone, I had a 2.85 gpa when applying but sadly failed Cellular Bio with a D and had to withdraw on General Chem 2 which made my gpa go down to a 2.6. I applied for Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology major.
If I retake Cellular Bio during the Spring Semester and General Chem 2 during the summer do you think I still have a chance at getting into UCD. I rather not do a third year at community college.

Never say never! Retaking those courses will have you above a 3.0 you think? Don’t be wary of spending 3 years at CC though it’s understandable.
UC’s won’t even look at your spring grades, nevertheless, summer grades before they admit you. ( that is if you applied for fall 2016)
They won’t even grant you credit for summer classes.
If your goal is UC Davis, it is very unlikely that you will get in with a 2.6. You would need academic renewal if your CC offers it, or you would have to retake all failed classes to increase your GPA.
Taking a 3rd year is really your best option. I don’t know if Davis is realistic, honestly, unless you could somehow bring your GPA high enough to TAG. Talk to a counselor.
