Hey guys, I’m a psych major at my CC. I have a 3.73 gpa. Will go up around 3.8 by this fall.
I’ve applied to all UC’s, but I’m really set for UCLA. They require 5 courses completed. Psychology 1, philosophy, Statistics, biology and chemistry.
I’ve only completed two (Psychology. Fall 2016 with an A. Philosophy. Spring 2017 with a B)
And I’m planning to take the rest at the end of the spring before I transfer met year. So I’m taking biology, chemistry, and statistics.
I don’t have any educational preps. No awards except dean’s list. I have a full volunteer slots. (Two internships, animal shelter, and wrestling coach)
I work at school. I help high schoolers enroll in college classes.
I have 3 EC’s. Secretary for honors society, secretary for student government. And music club member.
My personal statements are not that great since I did them last minute before deadline and are a bit cliche and common.
I was planning on doing TAP. But I had no time so I’m not in it.
I was told however, that I’d still have a high chance due to my GPA. What do you think? Although is it true I wouldn’t be seen as competitive because I didn’t complete most of my major prerequisites before applying?
