Will it be enough?

<p>Can anyone get into HYPS or other top colleges for that matter
with nearly perfect SAT, SAT IIs, and GPA
but not so good ECs and not much of a relation with CG (therefore impersonal rec)?</p>

<p>maybe I'm wrong to call it not so good ECs (volunteer at hospital, studeng govt. secretary, participant (not a winner) of ISEF, governor school)</p>

<p>how does that look?</p>

<p>You probably have a good chance, but admissions always have a pretty big luck factor so one can never tell for sure. Nobody is a shoe-in, and many times unlikely candidates get accepted. Just apply, if you don't, you'll never know.</p>
