Will it hurt me that I have plenary of AP classes but no honors classes?

In freshmen and sophomore year, I didn’t take any honors courses because I didn’t care that much. I’m currently a junior. Currently i’m taking AP Physics 1 and 2, AP English Language, and APUSH History. Although it’s not super common for people to go from CP English 10 to AP Language, my CP English 10 teacher said many of her students had and she recommended I do it because she thinks my writing is good and I got a 95 both semesters in her class. I’m currently doing fine in the AP classes i’m taking, and senior year I plan on taking AP English Literature, AP gov/Econ, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. Going into AP Claculus from IM3 regular is generally ok if you take Intro to Calculus first, which I am doing. At the end of high school, I will have taken 8 AP classes but no honors courses. I’m worried that will hurt me for college admission chances. I thought maybe it wouldn’t be so bad because at least I will have taken challenging classes in all of the core subject areas. What are your guys’ thoughts?

It will depend, in part, on the colleges you are targeting. It will also depend upon how you perform in AP classes. Certainly it is better to have increased your rigor than decreased. The part that bothers me, and worry that it will come through elsewhere in the application either through recs or essays is:

In the perfect world, if you ace your classes and get wonderful recs, and write great essays, and score high on the SAT/ACT, it may not matter.

As an aside, and I’m not a native English speaker, so I could be wrong, but “plenary” is not the word to use in this case.

I’m currently doing fine in the AP classes i’m taking. I have all A’s in the classes i’m currently taking. I did get one B last quarter in AP Physics 1 though. My unweighted gap in currently around 3.71 and weighted is around 3.83. If I do well the rest of the year and beginning of senior year, I think I can get it up to a 3.8 unweighted and 4.1 weighted. Some schools i’m interested in are UC Santa Barbara, NYU, and UC Santa Cruz. I’m also interested in USC, though that is much more of a reach school for me.
Also you are correct about Plenary. I meant to use the word plenty, but I made a typo and spellcheck changed it to plenary.
