I got two 3's out of the six AP tests I took. Thus, I obviously don't want to report them, but then I figured if I report my 4's and 5's on my other exams, that it would be obvious that I had gotten a 3 or worse on these. Then I thought, maybe I'll just not report them all together. Colleges always say that AP scores are for credit purposes only, but what do you think? Will it hurt/look suspicious if I don't report my AP scores at all, or should I still just report the 4's and 5's?

Yes it will look bad/they will figure out you did poorly because if your transcript says AP classes and you didn't the the tests, they get suspicious. But in all reality, AP scores will never hurt your chances at admissions--- they just wont help you.

You can fax a request to the collegeboard erasing those 3s off of your transcript and then just send your (modified) scores in.

Columbia does not ask for the scores. We took that to mean it's not important for admissions as far as they are concerned. My son, who had one low score and two high ones, chose not to send them. He was accepted. they can't wonder why you are not sending them if they don't ask for them.

You need any edge you can get since the process is so competitive. Columbia definitely looks favorably on good scores, even though they don't ask for scores. So if you don't have good scores to send them, you're putting yourself at a relative disadvantage.
