I am seriously thinking about majoring in Accounting, but the college I am attending as a limit on how many units you can take for a timely graduation and the Accounting major requires 28 units, and I need 9 units in other areas putting me at 37 units. I will have completed 93 units after this semester, so if I major in accounting I will be sitting at 130 units. I wanted to double major in finance but will be over by 1 units (145) and that is strictly not allowed.

Is this bad in the long run? If I do just major in Accounting with no minor, I have the option of taking 2 more accounting classes (Individual Income Taxation [ACCT 350] and International Accounting [ACCT 465]) which I suppose can help me towards getting the CPA?

MY school also offers an class called Accounting internship which is 3 units, so I should be able to take that also...

Am i screwed without a minor?
