Will it look bad if I take the SAT for the 3rd time in October as a senior?

The first time I took the SAT, I got an 800 in math. Second time, I got a 760 in writing, but my CR (the worst section for me by like 80 points) actually went down a little. :/ I signed up for the March SAT immediately, thinking this past CR was just really hard, but my I'm starting to have second thoughts..
Can I improve my CR by 100 points in a month?

My teacher told me my way of thinking about the passages might just not be advanced/mature enough yet.. I'm taking AP English in school now, so I'm thinking all the AP practice will help me in CR.

Will it look bad if I take the SAT again in October, as a senior? I'd be aiming really high then, like maybe even 2400.

Will colleges look down upon that SAT score because I'd be a senior by then? (Will they know what grade I was in when I took it?)

Thanks! :)

No it doesn’t. I took my SAT in my senior year and got accepted.

No, it does not matter what year you took it. A senior SAT will be viewed the same as a junior SAT. I’d go ahead and take the May SAT, actually. I scored a 790 on CR, even though I was consistently getting around 730-750 on my practice tests, mostly because I was about to take the AP English test. Studying for the AP English test really helps, because the SAT passages are cake in comparison.

I can’t take it in May because it’d be right in the middle of two weeks of AP exams, haha I’d be way in over my head :/

It’s not bad at all – I have many students who take that 3rd SAT as seniors. Also, score choice or not, if you have already sent your 1st round of scores to the colleges, then that last attempt in the fall of senior year can be your little secret. You just resend the score if you are happy with it.
