... or will there only be Math IIC from now on? Oh, and if Math IC still exists for the Class of 2006, will it be accepted by the UCs? Thanks in advance.

why wouldnt it exist???

UCs will use it if u send it but its not required

It'll exist. It's still more in-depth than the new SAT I math.

It still exists but UC will not accept it anymore.

OK, thanks for the confirmation, smokeylarue.

Will a lot of schools (not UCs but LACs like Vassar, Wesleyan, etc.) like someone taking IIC much better than someone taking IC? I'm not math inclined at all and I'm taking the IC this May, which will be challenging enough for me, and I'd really like to have a shot at those schools.

i don't know of anyplace that will still take SAT II Math IC...well maybe states, but i don't think they even require SATs

THere are many elite colleges that accept the Math IC SAT II. Among these schools are Dartmouth, Harvard, Duke, and MIT (see links below). In fact, the only school I know of that does not accept the IC is CalTech.

Effective class of 2006, the UC's will no longer take the Math IC. However, most other colleges that require SAT II'S will still be taking it. As it is an issue administrations have been discussing since the UC's decision, you should check the website of any particular schools to which you intend to apply.
