Will Michigan accept a transfer after 1 semester?

Anyone transfer or know if this is possible?

Probably not, only because they explicitly specify that they prefer junior level transfer students. I suppose it could happen if you have the stats that would get you accepted as a freshman. Unfortunately one semester is not enough to gauge your performance in college -level academics. I’d recommend a few more semesters before trying.

I have above average stats and am instate, just didn’t apply in time. Think that’ll make enough of a difference?

quite simply, yes it is possible, and it better be because I’m trying it as well.

but i hope you dont get in - you’re my competition :stuck_out_tongue:

just kidding, i hope we both get in! I’m in a similar boat as you but im OOS :</p>

Transfer admission is usually selective toward people who have completed several semesters of college. Now that said, the transfer application gives an ample opportunity to explain mitigating circumstance, so it could benefit you. Just keep in mind that you will have to compete with the available slots for transfers in which most competition has more accrued credit hours. Best of luck with whatever decision you go with!

If you would have gotten in as a freshman, it is possible to get in after one semester.

Thanks guys.

As long as you realize that they won’t be able to see your college grades. You are relying completely on your high school credentials.
