Hello everyone,
I was provisionally accepted into CPP for this Fall semester for Mechanical Engineering. This semester (Spring) will be my final semester at my community college. I am taking Linear Algebra and Chemistry right now and see myself getting a B in Chemistry and a C in Linear Algebra. As a result, I’m extremely worried that my acceptance offer will be rescinded. I truly appreciate your response. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I already have my associate’s degree and CSU-breadth certification.
As long as you have no D’s or F’s, you should be fine. Does your provisional admission contract state a specific GPA or grades required to maintain your acceptance?
No, the admission contract does not state anything like that. Would you happen to know where I would find a certain contract like that on BroncoDirect? Thank you for responding!
If you have no specific provisional admission contact posted on your student portal, then the general guidelines are no D’s or F’s in your Spring courses. I do not think you have anything to worry about.
Provisional Admission Transfer Applicants:
Cal Poly Pomona may provisionally or conditionally admit transfer applicants based on their academic preparation and courses planned for completion. The campus will monitor the final terms to ensure that those admitted complete all required courses satisfactorily. All accepted applicants are required to submit an official transcript of all college level work completed. Cal Poly Pomona will rescind admission for all students who are found not to be eligible after the final transcript has been evaluated. In no case may such documents be received and validated by the university any later than a student’s registration for their second term of CSU enrollment.
Phew, thank you so much! I’m trying so hard to finish this semester with at least a 3.0 GPA. By the way, where did you find the paragraph stating what a provisional admit it. Thanks again.
The information I posted was from the CPP catalog under Transfer admissions/Provisional admission.

Ah, I see. Thank you so much for your help!
