I am transferring to Rutgers in the next 2 weeks. This is my sophomore year. I was accepted in to the School of Arts and Sciences in New Brunswick and also to the Newark campus. Unfortunately this semester seemed very hard and I had to withdraw from my one class and I failed another I work a part time job and my I am an A and B student with all my classes I got and A in my History of Middle Ages class and a B in my Acting class my Principle of Econ II I failed and I withdrew from my Pre-Cal. class. I'm seriously nervous. My GPA was at a 3.1 and went to a 2.9. I don't know what to do; will they not accept me anymore even though my past grades are all A's and B's with an exception of 2 C's.
I did everything I could other then to drop the class and my Profs. material was completely the opposite from the tests and from the book. I brought this to the attention of the head chairperson in that department. What else should I do I really want to go to Rutgers, its been my dream forever.

Are you accepted to start Rutgers this January? Will you be a second semester Soph there? Did the acceptance say it was contingent on your grades?

To be honest, if they aren’t REQUIRING you to send your fall grades as part of your acceptance then I would wait until classes start to have that transcript sent (you will want the transfer credits). I doubt they would throw you out once classes started.

If you had been accepted to Business you might have to worry because the classes you failed and withdrew from would be required. At Rutgers you will need Calculus for the business school. It that is your plan you need to decide if you can do Calculus. My oldest son had to change to Lib Arts at Rowan because Calculus was more work than he wanted to do. If you plan on Business, but stink at math, then Rutgers might not be the school for you. I think you have to apply to the business school for junior year.

It is possible that your admission will be revoked.

check enrollment pathway. Under conditions of enrollment.

yikes! did you list all 4 classes on your application? how many credits are left after withdrawal from Pre-Calc? The failed Econ class will definitely give them second thoughts, and if the three classes you took did not add up to at least 12 credits, it’s going to bite you in the butt. Better call them as soon as you can to salvage your chances.

Well I called and the girl on the phone told me that they would notify me . But I told her about the situation and she said that she doubts that I will be revoked.
