if im taking the act plus writing on September 12th and deadline for applications is November 1st, will I get my scores in time to apply?
You should have your scores by the end of September.
Double check on when the scores are due for the November 1st application. Often the scores aren’t due at the same time.
@bouders so what you mean by that is, I can turn in the app, and the scores later?
@musiclover16 That is the case at many, if not most, schools. Letters of recommendation and transcripts are often due AFTER the application deadline as well. You will need to check if that is the case at the school you are interested in. That information should be on their website.
Absent a problem with your test that causes a hold on test scores pending an investigation, your Sep scores including your writing score should be out before Nov 1 and you can assure they will get to the college by Nov 1 by designating the college in your test registration as one to automatically receive scores upon release.
Also, you should check the early action or early decision rules of the particular colleges you are considering sending the scores to because most of them accept scores that arrive after Nov 1, accept through the Oct ACT, and many even accept the Nov SAT, for early action or early decision.
