I have a composite score of 30, but ive done really (not by CC standard) well on all of the sections except science. I have a 34 R, 32 E, and 29 M, and 25 S. If I convert the CR + M scores to the SAT 1600 scale then i would get like 1430-1450, which is pretty decent in my opinion.

Do most colleges weigh the science section heavily? On a side note, I have above 700s on my SAT IIs in science and history.

That seems good. I got lower than you than you on my SAT II’s in science and history and many colleges did not mind. I think that messing up on one section of the ACT is excusable. Anyone could mess up on one day of a test. With your high SAT science score you show that you have strong science skills.

I really dislike the ACT science section. It has very little to do with science.

ya i converted only my CR and M…i thought i made that pretty clear…you cant convert your entire Composite score on the 1600 scale of the SAT since the 1600 scale only has CR and M. its only reasonable to get the CR and M scores from the ACT also.

act science sucks. i get such random scores on my practice tests, anywhere from like 19-29 (maybe exaggerating). i also wish it wasn’t the last test of the four. im so drained at that point that its hard to think straight. it’s even more annoying that im consistently getting 30+ on math and english, so its like science is the deciding factor of my composite.
