I got accepted into Industrial Design(Fine Arts) at UIUC but I’m worrying about my admission might be rescinded.
I’m currently an IB diploma student and my grades in grade 11 are showed below:
IB HL Mathematics: B
IB TOK: B
IB HL English B: B
IB SL Chemistry: B
IB HL Physics: A
IB SL Mother Tongue: B
IB SL Economics: C
For some reasons(the courses are becoming harder), my grades in senior year dropped dramatically:
IB HL Mathematics: D (might become a F)
IB TOK: C
IB HL English B: B
IB SL Chemistry: C (might become a D)
IB HL Physics: C
IB SL Mother Tongue: B
IB SL Economics: C (might become a B)
Meet with your counselor asap. Come up with a plan of action. The counselor needs to intervene on your behalf, with your teachers, and the college, should you get a D.
Rather than expecting an intervention on your behalf to save you, you’d be far better off to marshall all your efforts into getting a C. It’s your only guaranteed path to success.
@eyemgh , should this person in fact end up with a D, he/she will need the counselor’s help to have any chance of not being rescinded. No college is going to just take a student’s word for it. So it’s far better to set the process in motion now, before it’s too late. And yes, of course everything should be done to avoid a D.
