I was recently put on a waitlist to Dartmouth College and I was admitted. I sent in an essay that said Dartmouth was my "top" choice and "ultimate goal". However, on a questionaire, I ranked Princeton as my favorite school. Dartmouth is my "top" choice and "ultimate goal" but Princeton was at one point as well. Do you think the admission office will rescind my admission for this? Thanks for your input.

Come on, be real. You’re in.

are you looking for attention? This can’t be a serious question. But just in case someone with mild retardation managed to be accepted to Dartmouth: you will not be rescinded.

I know that I won’t, but other people that should remain nameless keep saying that I could.

Oh, please.

Dartmouth should rescind you just on the basis of this question.

chill, dude. You’re in, and they’re not gonna spy upon you for an excuse to rescind you. :)

Mild? (10 char)

This thread actually made me lol :)

Yeah, the admissions office has better things to do.

You shouldn’t worry about this. I would invite you to read the email you received from the admissions office again. I’m pretty sure it says that “all the information you provide in this survey will be kept strictly confidential and that your name will not be associated with your survey responses.”

Yes. I know of several friends who have already been rescinded because of this.
