I was admitted to the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University - New Brunswick campus last month. I'm usually a B student but I have received an F and very few C's and D's sophomore year when I took very challenging classes. I was accepted with a 3.6 weighted GPA and 1880 SAT.
However, this year I took AP Biology which I finished first marking period with a 60 and currently have a 57 with one last test remaining in the second marking period. Besides that, my other honors and AP classes this year are average and I am wondering if I can be revoked of my admission because of AP Biology. I do intend on bringing up my final grade before the end of the year of course but I am scared that Rutgers may rescind my admission.

I’m almost in the same situation. I got admitted to Rutgers a while ago, but then I went to another college, and got 2 F’s and repeated a class (I mostly get A’s and a few B’s). I’m also applying for Rutgers-New Brunswick SAS this year, and I’m afraid this time they deny my admission. Although you are actually admitted this year, unlike me, who went on to another college.

I would think that as long as you bring the grades up, they cannot revoke the admission. I guess the admission is official. You might get into introductory or elementary courses the first year. Remember, you will have to take placement tests before registering for classes. You should be fine, if you at least perform better from now on.

An F will draw attention… Expect a letter asking you to explain your drop.

If you get an f you will prob get it taken away if you have no medical or serious reason
For the grade.

Thank you for the responses. Quietsoul, I hope you are admitted into Rutgers, best of luck. I will definitely try to bring up my grades as much as possible.

Thanks, same to you.
