I forgot to list a non-transferable 1 credit, 1 weekend geology class that I got an A in. Other than the fact that it's non transferable and won't change my GPA in any way, I technically did not give a truthful account of my academic history. Will my admission get rescinded?

Doubt so.

lol No.

I believe the idea behind reporting all of one’s classes to the UCs is so that they can have a complete picture of your academic history and so that you will be honest. Hiding some academic history usually means you failed some courses or otherwise earned substandard grades and it usually means that you think you’d be rejected if you were being completely honest. The UCs definitely want you to report nontransferable classes, even if they don’t influence the outcome of their decisions. Since this class is one unit, nontransferable, and you got an A in it, UCLA shouldn’t rescind your offer of admission. They’ll believe you when you say that it was just an honest mistake.

99.99999999% chance you won’t be rescinded if you report this, but do it ASAP anyway.

Thank you, do you think I should contact them? I can’t handle getting my admissions rescinded twice in the two times that I applied…

“As per our communications to you, all admission offers are provisional until we receive final official transcripts and test scores that verify your eligibility to enroll. Regretfully, I must withdraw our offer of admission to UC Merced because you did not meet the conditions of admission. In particular, one or more of the official documents required to verify your eligibility to enroll at UC Merced did not arrive in the Admissions Office by the July 15 deadline. Please note: On-campus housing contracts and registration for fall 2012 classes will also be automatically cancelled for students who did not meet conditions of admission.”

From my old e-mail haha… god I’m having such a crisis right now, though you guys are probably right… just overreacting

@Cayton Thanks, I will right now!

I thought it wasn’t necessary to list non-UC transferrable courses. They only wanted to see our UC-transferrable courses. Of course they would eventually see everything in its whole on the official transcript, no? I have like 2 courses that I didn’t list because they weren’t transferrable, got an A in both… crap.

That’s what I thought but apparently you have to list them…

Yeah I was accepted to UCSD and UCSB. Hopefully they won’t care, especially that we have A’s.

@onehandedred where would we update the school’s on this mistake? should we just call the admissions office?

myadmissions for UCLA has a contact us tab that we can use. I already sent my message.

You’re good to go now! :D
