Will my admission get rescinded?

I have met all my a-g requirements with passing grades. I think I will have a D for AP Calc AB this semester (that's the only class I think I won't pass). It is my 4th year in Math. I can't raise my grade anymore because we took finals (which dropped me from a B to a D), so the class is basically over.

I've heard that as long as you give the admissions office a reason why this grade dropped, you're ok. I did mentioned that my puppy passed away a couple of weeks before taking the finals, which caused me not to stay as focused (I was emotionally distressed), but my friends say they won't take that seriously, which was true because I called & they didn't take that reason.

They also stated that they won't know for sure about rescinding my admission until they evaluate the transcripts in the summer. If I DO rescinded, what are you other options, besides attending a junior college?

bad excuse… pretty bs-able

nonetheless… calc isnt one of their req courses…

im 99% sure it will be fine but just tell them asap as it has worked for other schools

It’s really hard to say what is going to happen … I had a friend who got a D in AP Calc and was accepted to UCSC and when they found out about her D, they rescinded her admission. She went to a local CC in santa cruz and transferred in after one year. Really not the END of the world. I don’t know what will happen in your case but I’m not sure of the other options besides a CC.
