I attended CC during my senior year of high school and applied those credits towards HS graduation. I am now about to start the Fall term at the CC as a "first year" student. I plan to transfer after 1 or 2 years. Will my transfer gpa be the grades I earn from this point on, while officially in college, or will those classes taken during high school play a factor?

I remember taking a Psychology course my first semester at CC that took place at a local high school where they allowed the high school students to take the course for college credit. Therefore, it would seem to me that you took these college classes during HS to get credit for college.

But if you did take it for a grade, then I’d assume that yes, it will count toward your college courses for transfer. You may want to speak with a counselor at your CC about this if it really concerns you. Again, I’m not really sure, it’s just what I’m assuming. :)

For some elite private colleges, such as Ivies, they will NOT be counted. But for most schools, they will.
