I want to go into advertising. I want to go work for an advertising company. Do they look for business majors? I would have a journalism degree from a top j-school with a focus in communications. Would that be seeker before a business major at a top advertising company?

Bbbbbuuuuuuummmmppppp

Is there such a thing as a degree in advertising? That seems it would be your best bet but baring that, your degree plan sounds like a good one.

Most journalism schools have a concentration or major in advertising.

You have two threads about this…what else are you looking for??

^^lol…I was thinking of copying and pasting the others…

“Will my degree be look at seriously?” The degree maybe lookED at seriously. You will not be lookED at seriously!!! Someone who has a concentration in communication but can’t get the tense of the verb correct has a serious problem.

Given the word selection and phrasing of your initial post, I would assume that English is not your native language. Be that the case or not, you do need to work on it to make it in advertising. You are young enough to have time to work on your English skills (your profile has you as 18).
