Will my Duke ED app be thrown out because of GPA?

I applied to Duke ED and will be hearing back this week. I'm in the freaking out phase right now. I would love anyone's honest opinion. I have a 3.4 UW GPA, 3.65 cumulative Weighted GPA with an upward trend (3.3 sophomore, 3.4 junior, 3.7 senior) . I take the most rigorous curriculum possible, have a 33 ACT (34 superscored) and great EC's. I am also a legacy at Duke. Will my app be thrown out because of my GPA or can the other pieces of my application save me?

Where do you rank? If below top 10% the other pieces and legacy probably can’t save you.

my school doesn’t rank, but i would say definitely top 20%. my class is only 68 people.

You go to one extremely grade deflating school if all but 12 of 68 have a GPA below 3.4! Even Exeter isn’t that tough!

oh well i was saying top 20% WEIGHTED haha and i take the most rigorous curriculum possible and my weighted gpa is a 4.56 so far this year and was a 3.7 last year so i guess thats why.

well, Duke is pretty big on legacy and you have a strong ACT score, so I don’t think they’ll be throwing your app out right away.

My guess is a courtesy deferral.

Absolute rejection!

You should have at least a 36 and 4.0 to KNOW what Duke is.

haha well then… i guess i am extremely unqualified. What GPA is considered academically qualified for Duke?
