I am an out-of-state student applying to the University of Arkansas. If you meet certain gpa/act criteria applicants are automatically given a 90% discount to difference between in and out-of-state tuition which is absolutely awesome. My ACT is no problem, however my high school does not weight grades and my transcript consists primarily of IB, AP, and Honors classes. My unweighted gpa does not meet the requirements for the discount but my weighted gpa definitely would make the cut. The application for Arkansas asks for unweighted gpa and I’m worried I will not qualify for the discount because my gpa is unweighted! Is this likely to happen, or will the university take my transcript into account and consider me qualified for the scholarship? I’m very worried :((

Just wondered where did you see that information? As far as I know, if your HS does not provide weighted GPA then Univ of Arkansas will add weight to your AP or IB classes but I am not sure about the honors classes though.
