will my gpa hurt me?

<p>hey guys, my GPA is currently 3.69 unweighted, but that is due in large part to a large number of Bs that I had in 8th grade when i took high school level classes, as well as freshmen year. My sophomore year I had a cumulative 3.93 GPA, and currently after 1 quarter of my junior year i have a 3.71. Will high end colleges such as Ivies look badly upon my gpa or will they worry less about 8th grade and freshmen year? thanks</p>

<p>also i have sat scores within the 2200-2300 range, do you guys think my gpa will hurt my chances a lot of gettin into an ivy? Thanks</p>

<p>colleges won't look at middle school grades and some don't even look at frosh year.</p>

<p>yeah I see what you mean, but most schools will not take into consideration frosh year so I think you'll be fine.</p>
