Hi,

I got a:
66 CR
73 Math
72 Writing

For a total of 211. Last year, the Ohio cutoff was 211 (I hope I did not cut it too close). What do you think is going to happen to the cutoffs this year in Ohio and in the country?

I know on the PSAT practice writing test, they said that the average on the writing would be 3-4 points lower than last years. Will this equate to a 3-4 point drop on the cutoff? Any other thoughts? Thanks!

i think the cutoffs are bound to drop, the writing curve got worse, as did cr for both wed. and sat. good luck!

I got a 212 in MO
2005 test cutoff was 214
2006 test cutoff was 211

so if the trend continues, 2007 would be 208, but as any good student knows, 2 data points isn't enough to base any solid conclusion.

does anyone know of some old cutoff scores??
I'll do a search here soon..

The 3-4 points lower thing applies to the 211 cutoff already, I think.

The 3-4 point drop on the writing starts this year only. It said it on the practice PSAT curving key, at the bottom.

There will probably not be a drop in cutoffs again - last year was due solely to a change in the writing section. The cutoffs will probably follow the previous trend of increasing a point or two each year.
